The Vice Presidential staff salaries void

Posted by LegiStorm on Thursday, July 24, 2008

Vice President Dick Cheney might head his own fourth branch of government, as his critics have noted of his unusual legal claims to be outside the disclosure laws of the other branches of government, but some of his staff's salaries are reported with the legislative branch. Just not all of them.

So we are reminded by a piece by Dan Froomkin on today's Washington Post website, which points out that our web site has salaries for 33 Office of the Vice President staffers by virtue of its "mostly ceremonial role as president of the Senate." But "top Cheney aides such as chief of staff David S. Addington and national security adviser John Hannah, who are paid out of the vice president's executive appropriation, don't show up anywhere in the public domain."

It must be nice to avoid such kind of scrutiny.

Chenney, by far the BEST VP we have ever had. Thank god he was our VP for two terms. Truely a GREAT american. Bush as well but post wasn't about him. Thank god for them. Liberals are out to destroy America. So in short cut em some slack! T. Vanders, 427 Cameo Ave. Kalamazoo, Mich., 49002-3508 or kalvander@aol.com prefer snail mail though :)

LegiStorm is not exactly popular with Congress. LegiStorm keeps track of all the money of our legislators and their staffers. It includes everything you can think of, from their salaries, to trips taken, foreign gifts received, and investments they hold. The wonderful thing is that you don't need to get payday loans to look at LegiStorm; it's free to keep Congress honest.

To all, no matter what you try to do you will never catch these people in the act, period. They think they are above the law. It's time to rise above these people and make justice happen to those who would normally get away with everything they do, including treason.

Surprise! Wanna see more really good stuff? See why the same names keep popping up inside the Republican inseders? Google Bush family history More surprises than you'd ever believe!

Dear all, I keep the identities of most of my staffers hidden so if I mistakenly shoot one of them in the face there will be no proof that he/she ever worked for me or even existed. Dick
