Earmark details View earmark details Year 2010 Description Fort Bragg Range 74 Combined Arms Collective Training Facility - Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) is a core competency in today's irregular warfare environment. The Army Training and Doctrine Command identified a revised standard of design and instrumentation for MOUT training facilities. Funding would create an enhanced MOUT facility at Range 74 in Fort Bragg, incorporating an urban assault course, ballistic shoot house, and a Combined Collective Training Facility (CCTF) for larger-scale training. Currently, the CACTF at Range 74 consists of thirty-two training buildings, only 6 are instrumented. The Army's standard for this kind of training dictates 80% coverage for a generic 20-26 building site. An addition of 12 to 14 instrumented training buildings is necessary and would increase Fort Bragg's urban training capability by 300%. Feedback from deployed commanders indicates that CACTF training shapes unit success in urban combat.
