BRADY, Robert A., a Representative from Pennsylvania; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., April 7, 1945; graduated from St. Thomas More High School, Philadelphia, Pa.; union official; sergeant-at-arms, Philadelphia, Pa., city council, 1975-1983; chair, Philadelphia Democratic Party; member of the Pennsylvania Democratic state committee and Democratic National Committee; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Fifth Congress by special election, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of United States Representative Thomas Foglietta, reelected to the five succeeding Congresses (May 19, 1998-present).
