McCASKILL, Claire, a Senator from Missouri; born in Rolla, Mo., July 24, 1953; attended Hickman High School in Columbia, Mo.; graduated University of Missouri, Columbia 1975; J.D., University of Missouri, Columbia 1978; Missouri State house of representatives 1982-1988; Jackson County prosecutor 1992-1998; unsuccessful candidate for governor 2004; Missouri State auditor 1998-2006; elected as a Democrat to the United States Senate in 2006 for the term ending January 3, 2013.
