Clyburn's revolving door swings onto the Podesta Group

The revolving door from Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.) opens directly on the Podesta Group, a prominent lobbying firm.

Of the 11 revolving door connections LegiStorm has found for Clyburn, four have worked for Podesta either before or after their time on Clyburn's staff.

Clyburn is one of the House Democrats on the Joint Committee for Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction, or "super committee." LegiStorm is near the conclusion of a three-week series highlighting the revolving door connection of all the super committee members.

Two of Clyburn's top staffers in his Office of the Democratic Whip (Clyburn held the position from 2007 until the Republican takeover in 2011) are now lobbying for Podesta. A.J. Jones was Clyburn's director of research and policy before joining Podesta in 2009. Jamie Harrison was Clyburn's floor director until he moved to Podesta in late 2008.
