Posted by Jenna Ebersole on March 10, 2015

A longtime legislative assistant for Rep. Adam Smith (D-Wash.) has taken a new position at Gordon Thomas Honeywell Governmental Affairs.

Paul K. Hoover got his start on the Hill as Smith's intern in 2007, rising through the ranks to become legislative assistant in 2009. He moved to the government relations firm in February as senior government affairs consultant.

Gordon Thomas Honeywell has offices in Washington, D.C. and Washington state and registers to lobby for a variety of clients, including several cities and counties in Washington. In 2014, the firm's clients included the cities of Pasco, Tacoma and Gig Harbor in Washington.

Hoover earned a bachelor's in political science and philosophy from Gonzaga University in 2005.
