Former YouTube dancing, lip-syncing star starts in Young's office

Posted by Jenna Ebersole on June 4, 2015

In the early days of viral videos and beginnings of YouTube, two 13- and 11-year-old brothers found lip-syncing fame. The oldest "crazy frog bro" has since left his child star days behind and started as a staff assistant in the office of Rep. Todd Young (R-Ind.).

Lucas Phillips and his brother Jacob uploaded a video to Google Videos, then YouTube in 2006, labeled "Crazy Frog Bros." Their dancing and singing to "Axel F" by Crazy Frog in a low-quality basement video have since earned 16 million views and inspired parodies and mixes.

The elder Phillips, in a red T-shirt, jumps and dances behind his brother in the video, a "one-hit wonder" according to a profile in his college newspaper.

"We wanted to make that one video, make our mark, and let that be it," he said.

Phillips attended Valparaiso University and is based in Young's Jeffersonville, Ind., office.
