Former Hill aide advocates for drug lobby

Posted by on March 10, 2017

A former aide to Rep. John Katko (R-N.Y.) has become an advocate for the drug lobby just as health reform has once again become one of the hottest topics in Washington.

Erin Boyle, a legislative assistant for Katko, is now director of federal advocacy for Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America. While Katko's not a major player in the health debate, Boyle covered health issues for him.

Boyle started with Katko's office in 2015, covering health care, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, education and telecommunications. She has also worked as a staff assistant for Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), before taking on more substantial roles with Friends of John Boehner. In between her work for Boehner and Katko, Boyle had lobbied for the Petrizzo Group mostly for health care and telecom clients.
