For Big Corn, a side of Hamburg

Posted by Keturah Hetrick on Sept. 6, 2017

Just in time for the fall harvest, the National Corn Growers Association picked its newest public policy manager straight from the Hill.

Connor Hamburg previously worked as a legislative assistant to Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi's (D-Ill.) office, where his legislative portfolio included agriculture and trade issues. Hamburg also worked for former Reps. John Carney (D-Del.) and Steve Israel (D-N.Y.).

NCGA spent about $790,000 lobbying on a number of agriculture, fuel and appropriations issues last year, mostly through the trade group's in-house policy team.
