Business Roundtable adds longtime Senate aide

Posted by Keturah Hetrick on Nov. 7, 2017

A conservative CEOs' trade group has picked up Sen. Deb Fischer's (R-Neb.) legislative director.

Corey Astill, now a vice president at Business Roundtable, first came to the Senate in 2005, when he joined former Sen. Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.). Astill has also worked for former Republican Sens. Bob Bennett (Utah) and Dan Coats (Ind.), as well as the Joint Economic Committee and the Senate Finance Committee.

Business Roundtable has disclosed more than $7.03 million in lobbying expenses so far this year, mostly through its in-house lobbying arm.
