Ex-Sen. Cowan registers as GE lobbyist

Posted by Keturah Hetrick on Oct. 26, 2018

With any luck, Mo Cowan's (D-Mass.) lobbying career will last longer than his time spent as a member of the U.S. Senate.

Cowan, who spent six months in office in 2013, has officially registered as a lobbyist through General Electric, where he's worked since last year. He's lobbying on NAFTA, the Export-Import Bank and other trade issues, per the filing.

Cowan was appointed to the seat following John Kerry's (D) resignation to become Secretary of State. Cowan did not run in the special election that filled the rest of Kerry's term.
