Former Hill staffer runs on Dunkin' Brands

Posted by Nate Hoffman on Oct. 22, 2013

A former staffer for New York congressmen now runs on Dunkin', serving as the senior manger of federal government affairs for Dunkin' Brands Inc.

Eugene Patrone has worked for both the public and private sectors over the past 18 years. On the Hill, he started off as the legislative director for Rep. Sue Molinari (R-N.Y.) and Rep. Bob Turner (R-N.Y.) before becoming Rep. Chris Collins' (R-N.Y.) deputy chief of staff in January. While working with the Empire State's congressional delegation, Patrone handled health care, homeland security, transportation and other hot topic issue areas.

This is not Patrone's first position on K Street. He was employed with Kessler and Associates, Ketchum Washington and Bracewell and Giuliani LLP between advising Molinari and Turner. His latest employer oversees more than 10,500 Dunkin' Donuts and 7,000 Baskin Robbins franchises across the nation and 60 countries world-wide. The Canton, Mass.-based corporation reportedly made $8.8 billion in 2012.
