House Oversight gets a dose of reality

Posted by LegiStorm on Nov. 12, 2013

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has hired a clerk with a proven flair for reality-TV drama.

Juan "Pretty" McCullum was a contestant on the second season of the VH1 dating show "I Love New York" while attending law school. On the show, he and 19 other men competed for the affections of Tiffany Pollard, known on the show by her nickname "New York." For the duration of the show, McCullum went by the nickname "Pretty."

McCullum lasted through the first seven episodes of the season but withdrew after Pollard intensely questioned his sister about his romantic history. McCullum's exit from the show was heated, with he and Pollard exchanging (warning: NSFW) harsh and unprintable words, as explained (warning: NSFW) in this interview.

After his stint on "I Love New York 2," McCullum finished his JD at the Mississippi College School of Law. He now serves as a Democratic clerk for House Oversight. His potential love interest, Pollard, was ranked #3 in the Top Ten Female Reality TV Stars of 2007 by Reality TV Magazine.
