A former staffer for Rep. Rokita signs an education client

A former aide to Rep. Todd Rokita (R-Ind.) has officially become a lobbyist.

Jennifer Ortega has taken on her first client as an associate with the lobbying firm Ulman Public Policy and Federal Relations. The junior former staffer is lobbing on issues related to cyber security, data security and e-learning on behalf of EDUCAUSE. The Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit works to promote the use of information technology in higher eduation.

Rokita is chairman of the Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education.
