Sen. Booker brings on board aide with K St. experience

Posted by Nate Hoffman on Feb. 14, 2014

Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) has brought on a former lobbying aide as a new legislative staffer.

Simone Hall, a legislative correspondent with the freshman Democrat, was employed by two lobbying firms since 2010. Most recently, she was a legislative assistant with Kountoupes | Denham. Hall also served as a federal grants and fundraising administrative assistant with Strategic Health Care. These Washington, D.C. firms have lobbied for clients such as Intel Corp. and Centura Health, whose activities fall under the jurisdiction of Booker's committee, the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee. Hall herself was not registered as a lobbyist, however.

Hall graduated from the University of Virginia in 2010 with a BA in psychology.
