A former Lott aide joins her husband on the Hill

Posted by Katie Barrows on Feb. 20, 2014

A former aide for Sen. Trent Lott's (R-Miss.) lobbying group has joined her husband on the Hill.

Mary Mitchell Todd has joined the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee under Rep. Bill Shuster (R-Pa.) as a legislative assistant. She joins her spouse in the Capitol complex, Will Todd, who has been serving in the office of Sen. Thad Cochran (R-Miss.) since 2007.

A Mississippian like her husband, Mary Mitchell never worked for Cochran but she did work for Cochran's old colleague, Sen. Trent Lott (R-Miss.), in a lobbying firm. Mitchell Todd was employed as a office coordinator for the Breaux Lott Leadership Group, which is part of Patton Boggs LLP.

Both the Todds completed their undergraduate course work at the University of Mississippi.
