Posted by Jenna Ebersole on Nov. 20, 2014

A lobbyist who has moved several times between K Street, federal agencies and Capitol Hill is back working in the House.

Charles Ingebretson has returned to the Hill as chief counsel with the House Energy and Commerce Committee, Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee after an absence from Congress since 1998. He came most recently from Boeing Co., where he was vice president of energy and environmental policy.

Ingebretson has also worked at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and registered as a lobbyist during stints at Bracewell and Patterson LLP, now Bracewell and Giuliani LLP, and Honeywell International Inc. between 1999 and 2005. He worked for clients ranging from Enron Corp. to British Airways plc and Valero Energy Corp.

The former lobbyist worked for the House Energy and Commerce Committee for most of the 1990s, as counsel and general counsel from 1990 to 1998. He has a bachelor of arts degree from Duke University and law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
