Wilderness Society hires Braley legislative aide for government relations position

Posted by Jenna Ebersole on March 20, 2015

A senior legislative staffer for defeated Senate candidate and former Rep. Bruce Braley (D-Iowa) has landed a government relations job.

Katy Siddall moved to Braley's office in 2013 when defeated Iowa Democratic Rep. Leonard Boswell left office. Now with another loss of an Iowa congressman, Siddall has joined the Wilderness Society as director of government relations for energy.

Siddall got her congressional start in 2006 as Boswell's staff assistant and has worked as a field volunteer for the Iowa Democratic Party. She moved up through the ranks to become a senior legislative assistant for Boswell, continuing with the same title in Braley's office until January.

The Wilderness Society registers to lobby on a variety of conservation and energy issues. The organization's new employee has a master's in public management from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor's from Simpson College.
