Top Hanna legislative staffer takes advocacy job at United Airlines

Posted by Jenna Ebersole on May 5, 2015

Rep. Richard Hanna's (R-N.Y.) top staffer on legislative issues has taken a congressional affairs job at United Airlines.

Adam Hepburn served as deputy chief of staff and legislative director from 2011 to this month, when he made the switch to United. He once covered transportation issues for the congressman but serves now as director of congressional affairs at the airline.

Hepburn, who has a 2006 bachelor's in international relations and affairs from Bucknell University, joined Hanna's staff after serving as a policy adviser to the House Republican Conference from 2008 to 2011. He also worked as a staff assistant for the House Homeland Security Committee.

United and its related organizations have a long history of lobbying, advocating on various air transit issues.
