A current Senate Finance Committee lawyer under Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) has been offering free legal counsel to his brother's lobbying firm during his tenure with the committee.

Paul DeLaney joined the committee in February 2011 after nearly three years as a senior attorney with FedEx Corp. However, in December 2010, he began providing pro bono counsel to Kyle House Group, a lobbying outfit founded by his brother, Porter DeLaney, according to a financial disclosure he filed with the Senate in May.

The disclosure does not show any ownership stake in Kyle House Group by Paul DeLaney. Kyle House Group lobbying filings do not indicate any lobbying of the Finance Committee.
