Rep. Ed Royce (R-Calif.) waved goodbye to his former scheduler as she left for a new post with a major player in the tech world.

Kathryn Alpago has become coordinator of government affairs for the Consumer Electronics Association. It is unclear if Alpago will be required to register as a lobbyist in her new role. Alpago spent over three and a half years on Royce's staff.
