All in the family

Retiring Sen. Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) brought the son of a former senator from the Roughrider State, Byron Dorgan, onto his budget committee staff recently.

Brendon Dorgan, also the son of American Council of Life Insurers chief lobbyist, Kim Olson Dorgan, joined the budget committee as a staff assistant. Sens. Conrad and Dorgan share an extensive history, serving as North Dakota's two senators from 1992-2011 when Dorgan retired.
