GAO found that: (1) depot maintenance productivity data were inconsistent, incomplete, and potentially unreliable; (2) the data did not meet the needs of defense maintenance and resource managers; (3) another system could be used to develop more reliable productivity data; and (4) appropriate reporting formats need to be developed to satisfy reporting requirements and aid the Office of the Secretary of Defense in oversight activities. |
