Pursuant to Rule VIII of the Rules of the House of Representatives, Mr. Beard notified the House that he had been served with a civil subpoena issued by the Superior Court for the District of Columbia, for the production of documents, and that after consultation with the Office of General Counsel, he will make determinations required by Rule VIII.
