The House received a communication from The Honorable Ted Poe. Pursuant to Rule VIII of the Rules of the House of Representatives, Congressman Poe notified the House that he had been served with a subpoena, issued by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, purporting to require certain responses to a questionnaire in connection with a civil case and that after consolation with the Office of General Counsel, he had determined under Rule VIII that the subpoena sought information that is not "material and relevant," and not "consistent with the privileges and rights of the House."
