NATIONAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON INSTITUTIONAL QUALITY AND INTEGRITY - Pursuant to section 106 of the Higher Education Opportunity Act (Public Law 110-315), and the order of the House of January 3, 2013, the Speaker appointed Arthur E. Keiser of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, William Pepicello of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Arthur J. Rothkopf of Washington, DC upon the recommendation of the Majority Leader to the National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity.

The Chair clarified that pursuant to section 106(b)(5)(B) of the Higher Education Opportunity Act (Public Law 110-315), the Speaker's appointments of May 25, 2010, and December 22, 2010, of individuals on the part of the House to the National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity expired on May 25, 2014.

POSTPONED PROCEEDINGS ON APPROVAL OF THE JOURNAL - The Speaker announced that he had examined the Journal of the last day's proceedings and had approved it. Mr. LaMalfa demanded that the question be put on agreeing to the Speaker's approval of the Journal and by voice vote, the Speaker announced that the ayes had prevailed. Mr. LaMalfa objected to the voice vote based upon the absence of a quorum and the Speaker postponed further proceedings on the question of agreeing to the Speaker's approval of the Journal until a time to be announced.
