The House received a communication from The Honorable Theodore E. Deutch, Chairman and the Honorable Jackie Walorski, Ranking Member, Committee on Ethics. The Chairman and Ranking Member of the Committee on Ethics notified the House that on September 22, 27, and 28, 2021, notices of fines imposed upon Representative Andrew Clyde by the Sergeant at Arms pursuant to H. Res. 38 and House Rule II, clause 3(g) and that Representative Clyde did not file appeals with the Committee prior to the expiration of the time period specified in clause 3(g)(3)(B) of House Rule II.

The House received a communication from Abimael Jimenez, District Staff Assistant, The Honorable Charlie Crist. Pursuant to Rule VIII of the Rules of the House of Representatives, Mr. Jimenez notified the House that he had been served with a subpoena for testimony issued by the Small Claims Division of the County Court for Pinellas County, Florida, and that after consultation with the Office of General Counsel, he had determined that compliance with the subpoena was consistent with the privileges and rights of the House.

The House received a communication from the Honorable Pete Sessions. Mr. Sessions submitted his resignation from the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. The resignation was accepted without objection.
