For many years, Washington, DC had the highest teen pregnancy rate in the nation.

The mission of DC Campaign is to cut the city’s teen pregnancy rate in half by 2015.

DC Campaign seeks to change the conversation from blaming teens to framing prevention.

We do this by providing technical assistance to all groups who want to incorporate teen pregnancy prevention into their programs. We also train parents and other adults, and we connect local organizations with national experts.

We do this because research shows that by reducing teenage pregnancy, we can also reduce child abuse, crime and school failure.

Through partnerships, data, media, advocacy and organizing, DC Campaign serves as a catalyst for prevention efforts, a lever to increase support for effective programs, a convener of experts and networks, a promoter of best practices and a training resource.
