Posted by Jenna Ebersole on Jan. 14, 2015

A staffer who was tax counsel and legislative director in the office of Rep. Ron Kind (D-Wis.) until December has filed her first lobbying registration.

Rachel Stanley Nguyen started this month as assistant vice president of federal government relations at Principal Financial Group after three years working for Kind, beginning as a legislative assistant. She has registered to lobby on retirement and tax issues.

Stanley Nguyen last worked in the private sector in 2011 when she was state tax editor at Bloomberg BNA. She has an LLM in taxation from New York University's School of Law, a JD in tax and estate planning from the Syracuse University College of Law and a bachelor's in English and German from Whitman College.
