Software app association presses Ctrl+R on lobbying arm

Posted by Keturah Hetrick on Feb. 16, 2017

App developer? There's a lobbyist for that.

An association for software app developers, ACT | The App Association, is refreshing its government affairs work with the hire of a House Energy and Commerce Committee staffer.

Graham Default had worked for the committee since 2014, most recently as Republican counsel. The Oregon native, who holds a JD degree from George Mason, is now director of government affairs at ACT.

ACT employed its own in-house lobbyists until 2007, when it stopped its federal advocacy work. The group represents about 5,000 app companies and IT firms, according to its website.
