Ex-chief back to Hill after 12-year break

Posted by Keturah Hetrick on April 20, 2017

Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.) has coaxed an ex-chief of staff to accept the title again after a 12-year break spent with the National Urban League and Obama’s Department of Transportation.

Stephanie Jones served two years as chief of staff to former Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones (D-Ohio) and three years as counsel for the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Since leaving the Hill, the attorney had worked as a lobbyist for the National Urban League, held various high-level positions with the U.S. Department of Transportation and started her own consulting business.

She replaces Kim Bowman, who left as Wilson’s chief of staff in February.
