Rep. Thompson aide powers up

Posted by Keturah Hetrick on Oct. 6, 2017

A southern utilities and nuclear-power company added a longtime aide to Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) and the House Homeland Security Committee.

Cory Horton is now Entergy Corp.'s director of federal government affairs. He most recently worked as Thompson's deputy chief of staff and as a Homeland Security Committee professional staff member.

Entergy, which provides power to 2.9 million people in the Deep South, lobbies on energy, tax, housing and budget issues through contracts with several D.C. lobbying groups.
