Anti-tax waste lobbyist back to House

A lobbyist and former House chief of staff is back on the Hill as Rep. Randy Weber’s (R-Texas) legislative director.

Bill Christian most recently worked as government affairs director at Citizens Against Government Waste. The fiscally conservative advocacy group's lobbying arm, Council for Citizens Against Government Waste, endorsed Weber’s re-election last fall. Christian was a registerd lobbyist for the Council.

Chistian has served as chief of staff to President George W. Bush’s Selective Service System and as chief of staff to Rep. John Culbertson (R-Texas). The Texas native has also worked as a lobbyist at now-defunct Austin Copelin and Reyes, as well as his alma mater, the University of Texas.
