Amid change, Heritage Action picks Georgia peach

Posted by Keturah Hetrick on May 9, 2018

As the conservative group enters a transition period, Heritage Action for America continues to hire from the Hill.

William Gallman is now the senior legislative assistant at Heritage Action, the Heritage Foundation's sister advocacy group. The Georgia native previously served as a legislative correspondent to Rep. Rick Allen (R-Ga.).

Media outlets have speculated about Heritage Action's lobbying future since longtime CEO Mike Needham departed the group for Sen. Marco Rubio's (R-Fla.) office last month. Heritage Action spent $820,000 on federal lobbying in 2017, the highest year of lobbying expenses since its 2010 founding.
