Lobbyist heads to Senate Banking Committee

Posted by Keturah Hetrick on April 30, 2019

The Senate Banking Committee has added a staffer who was a lobbyist for one of the world's biggest banks.

Catherine Fuchs is now Republican counsel under Chair Mike Crapo (Idaho).

She comes from BNP Paribas, where she worked as assistant vice president for public policy and regulatory affairs to the French group's Corporate & Institutional Banking subsidiary. She lobbied mainly on last year's Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief and Consumer Protection Act, which rolled back certain Dodd-Frank banking regulations.
