A trade association representing the country's most prominent apartment firms has snagged a former GOP staffer on the House Financial Services Committee under Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-Ala.) to be its director of government affairs.

Kimble Ratliff joined the National Multi-Housing Council after a little over three years with the committee. "The Council concentrates on public policies that are of strategic importance to participants in multifamily housing, including housing and finance, tax, technology, property management, environmental and building codes," according to its website. The NMHC works closely with its legislative partner, the National Apartment Association.
