A former lobbyist who advocated on behalf of a variety of financial institutions, including MF Global months before its collapse, has joined Rep. Kevin Yoder (R-Kan.)'s office as a legislative aide.
Lara Driscoe spent close to a year as a government affairs representative with Delta Strategy Group handling a variety of clients including the now bankrupt investment firm headed by former Sen. Jon Corzine (D-N.J.). Before her time with Delta, she worked at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission as a law clerk. The CFTC regulates futures and options, the financial products on which MF Global placed bad bets.
Prior to her start with Yoder, Driscoe did a brief stint with Rep. Peter Roskam (R-Ill.) as a legal fellow.
