Former Rep. J. Gresham Barrett (R-S.C.) has filed his first lobbying papers, signing on to his firm's account with the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers.

He is expected to lobby on "barriers to trade embedded in energy legislation", according to the paperwork filed by his firm, Nelson, Mullins, Riley and Scarborough. Barrett has been with Nelson Mullins as senior policy adviser since January.
