The House received a communication from the Honorable Brad Sherman. Pursuant to Rule VIII of the Rules of the House of Representatives, Mr. Sherman notified the House that he had been served with a subpoena, issued by the Superior Court of California, for testimony and documents and that after consultation with the Office of General Counsel, he had determined that the subpoena was not a "proper exercise of jurisdiction by the court".
