New foreign agent registration search
As part of an ongoing series of updates shedding light on lobbying activities and the revolving door, we just launched a new search interface for filings related to the Foreign Agent Registration Act. FARA requires certain people and individuals engaged in political activities on behalf of a foreign entity to disclose the relationship and periodically report on activities and disbursements.
While LegiStorm has long provided this information as part of our biographical and organization profiles, for the first time subscribers can search our full database of FARA filings going back to the 1950s. Filings can be searched by registrant, client, lobbyist and date. Full-text search is available for more recent filings with extractable text.
