Abundant Life Church of Holbrook was established 30 years ago in a store front on Portion Rd in Ronkonkoma, but as the churches' vision grew we moved to various other sites. As each of the the previous church sites were not adequate for our needs, Abundant Life with only $105.00 dollars in the bank and a vision, broke ground here at 440 Furrows Rd in Holbrook.
We are Pentecostals and part of the Church Of God denomination which places special emphasis on a direct personal experience of God through the baptism in the Holy Spirit. An evangelical movement that stresses reliability of the Bible and how there is a need for transformation of each individuals life through faith in Jesus. As Pentecostals we adhere to the doctrine of biblical inerrancy ( considered accurate and error free), and believing the Bible has definitive authority in the matters of faith and takes a literalists approach to its interpretation. In addition, the church's roots are firmly established by the holiness revivals of the past centuries.
From it’s inception Abundant Life Church has been committed to keeping the holiness spirit alive, and it remains a standard of the church today. Our statement of faith says it all - " We believe it is the responsibility of every member and minister of the Church of God to be fully informed and versed in the doctrines and teaching of the church", and these principles are very much apart of our practices today.
What becomes apparent as soon as you enter our doors is the overwhelming atmosphere of nurturing, support, love, spiritual guidance, and the Holy Spirit filling the church during services.
