  Mark Wellman became chief of staff to Rep. Steve Chabot (R-Ohio) in August, leaving Defense Accounting and Finance Service where he disclosed earning $102,551 last year. Wellman had already equalled that amount by the end of September this year. He disclosed earned $76,989 before joining Chabot's staff, and the third quarter House salaries show that Wellman was paid $25,000 between Aug. 1 and Sept. 30 by Chabot.
