Biography:
Congressman Lloyd Doggett has represented Texas in the U.S. House since 1995.

AARP honored him in 2016 with its Legislative Leadership Award for his efforts to preserve seniors' access to healthcare. In 2015, Save the Children recognized his leadership with the Congressional Champion for Real and Lasting Change Award. He is the co-founder and co-chair of the House Prescription Drug Taskforce working to lower the price of prescription drugs, and authored bills that established the Commission to End Child Abuse and Neglect Fatalities and successfully enacted a higher-education tax credit.
