An amendment numbered 1 printed in Part C of House Report110-335 to require the Federal Aviation Administration(`FAA') to begin schedule reduction meetings if aircraftoperations exceed hourly maximum arrival and departurerules at airports; call for an update of the Departmentof Transportation Inspector General's 2000 report on aircarrier flight delays, cancellations, and causes for suchdelays and cancellations. Essential Air Service communitiesreceive additional resources to help their communitiescontinue to receive service, including a repeal of thelocal participation match, a notice to communities priorto termination of eligibility, procedures for the restorationof eligibility, and the creation of an Office of RuralAviation. The manager's amendment provides for labor integrationduring airline mergers, directs the FAA to conduct rulemakingson flight time limitations, OSHA standards for flightattendants, and aircraft rescue and firefighting standards,and includes provisions on cabin air quality.
