Katie Britt has served Alabama as a U.S. senator since 2023.

Before her election, Katie worked to strengthen Alabama's business community as president and CEO of Alabama’s Business Council and served on numerous committees and task forces, including the Alabama Wildlife Federation Board of Directors. The daughter of two small-business owners in the Wiregrass, Katie began her career after graduating from the University of Alabama.

She worked in Washington, D.C., as Senator Richard Shelby’s deputy press secretary, then as his press secretary. Katie went on to serve as special assistant to then-University of Alabama President Robert Witt.
