Biography:

Born and raised in Galena, Jake is a sixth-generation Kansan. Faith in God, the importance of family, love of country and the dignity of work are just some of the values he learned at a young age. Jake and his wife Suzanne have worked to pass these same values on to their children: Ava, Joe, Maggie, and Gus.

Jake met his wife Suzanne during their time at Pittsburg State University. He worked for Watco, one of the nation’s top short-line rail companies, where he learned the value of putting the customer first. Jake was twice elected to represent the people of Southeast Kansas in the State Senate, serving from 2013-2017.
