Posted by Keturah Hetrick on Aug. 16, 2016

A former legislative counsel to Rep. Pete Sessions (R-Texas) has taken a similar job with the association that advocates on behalf of the National Guard.

Michelle "Elle" Ross, who had worked for Sessions since last year, joined the National Guard Association of the United States as legislative counsel, manager of Army programs, last month.

The Long Island, N.Y. native previously worked for Harris Corp. as a government relations associate and for the McChrystal Group under Stanley McChrystal, the retired four-star general. She also worked as a pro bono legal assistant at Finnegan Henderson Farrow Garrett and Dunner while interning for Rep. Pete King (R-N.Y.) in 2014.

Ross holds a BA degree from Boston University, a JD from Western New England University School of Law and an LLM in national security and U.S. foreign relations law from George Washington University Law School.
