Familiar face to Ohio rep returns to an unfamiliar job

A familiar face to Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio) has returned to a less-familiar job. 

Greg Brooks has rejoined the Ohio Republican's office as legislative director. He served as Wenstrup's communications director until early last year. Brooks left the office early in 2016 to work briefly as a regional press secretary for presidential candidate Marco Rubio before that campaign folded. He went on to work for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce handling communications. He never registered as a lobbyist there.

Before leaving the Hill last year, Brooks had served in Wenstrup's office for three years, first starting as a legislative correspondent and legislative assistant before quickly moving to the communications side of the office. He also served as political director, then campaign manager, for Wenstrup's re-election campaign in 2014.
