Commerce Committee aide heads from the Hill to 30 Rock

Posted by Keturah Hetrick on Sept. 7, 2018

Live from New York: It's a Senate Commerce staffer's new career!

Cort Bush, previously a senior professional staff member to Commerce's Communications, Technology, Innovation and the Internet Subcommittee, is now a senior director at NBCUniversal Media. NBCUniversal and parent company Comcast have so far disclosed more than $11.8 million spent on federal lobbing in the first half of 2018.

Prior to his move, Bush's congressional career spanned eight years and included stints as legislative director to former Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) and senior policy adviser to Sen. Jerry Moran (R-Kan.). Bush has also worked as a telecomm lobbyist at ML Strategies and as a U.S. Treasury Department analyst.
