Rep. Sarbanes hires geophysics expert

Posted by Keturah Hetrick on Sept. 25, 2018

Rep. John Sarbanes (D-Md.) has a rock-solid new hire.

Timia Crisp spent the last two years at the American Geophysical Union, a non-profit aimed at advancing earth and space science. Crisp, who holds a PhD in chemistry from the University of California, San Diego, served as an AGU fellow with the House Energy and Commerce Committee before joining the group as a public affairs analyst. She did not register as a federal lobbyist during her time there.

Crisp now serves as Sarbanes's legislative assistant handling his energy, environment, science and Interior portfolios.
